Rococo Brass Mantel Clock Antique French Late 19th C, Enamel Dial Signed Bardino
Located in Wembley, GB
Antique French Rococo Brass Mantel Clock – Late 19th Century, Enamel Dial Signed Bardinot, 8-Day Bell Strike
A fine late 19th century French brass mantel clock, beautifully cast in the Rococo style with ornate foliate scrolls and decorative motifs. The enamel dial, signed Bardinot (indistinct), displays elegant Arabic numerals and finely shaped hands.
The clock houses an 8-day movement, striking on a bell, and retains its original pendulum, visible through the rear inspection door. The case is richly detailed with scrolling foliage, lattice textures, and decorative masks, all accentuated by the warm patina of the aged brass.
Measuring 35 cm high x 20 cm wide x 9 cm deep, this piece is both decorative and functional, offering collectors a fine example of French horology from the Belle Époque era. Its Rococo design makes it a striking addition to any mantelpiece, collection of antique clocks, or luxury interior décor.
