The 1776 Historical Woods Collection: White House Fountain and Ballpoint Pens is a limited edition group of pens that feature historic pine lumber from the White House. The pine was built into the White House in 1815 as part of the restoration effort following the infamous burning of Washington by the British during the War of 1812.
In 1927, President Calvin Coolidge renovated the White House. During that time, this pine wood was removed and documented. For 112 years this pine supported the roof of the Executive Residence; now it is the center of Eagle Pen Company's historical pen series.
