Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) was a French architect and designer who studied at the École de l'Union centrale des Arts décoratifs from 1920-1925. She collaborated with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret until 1937, designing innovative tubular steel furnishings and system furniture. In 1937, she and Pierre Jeanneret designed a mountain chalet made of sheet aluminium, which they showcased at the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne.
