French Modernist Rattan Pagoda Pendant Lamp or Lantern. France, 1950s. This eye-catching rattan chandelier features a pagoda shape rattan hanging lamp with oriental inspired design. The lampshade is made of an intricate of rattan canes and it hangs from a chain made of round rattan links. Topped by a wooden canopy. It has been carefully restored and newly wired with beige twisted cotton cloth electrical wire and an E27 bulb holder. It will be a nice addition hanging over a kitchen's table or dining area. Perfect for a beach house, countryside house or urban appartment. Large, powder colored and great condition Venetian light fixture. This Midcentury Venetian pendant is not only the largest of it's kind we ever had the pleasure of offering, it also is in exceptional condition. We have completely rewired it for safe and immediate usage in the US as well and we also have cleaned all the mouth blown glass both inside and out. The truly thick and amber colored glass is perfectly and symmetrically blown into the hand-knotted metal frame and the result is an absolute joy to look at. The amber color, is not transparent. This, what we call, rustic style pendant is hand-crafted in the exact same way and it has the same design as others, but in the proces something was done to the glass which has created a non-transparent, almost sugar coated surface. It is truly beautiful and other than with the transparent ones, it does not throw shade patterns on your walls and ceiling. A most impressive and ornately decorated antique electrified hanging lantern from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (New Spain). Exquisitely hand-crafted in the 19th century (possibly late 18th century), even though San Miguel was the first town in present day Mexico to win independence from the Spanish Empire in the early nineteenth century, this lantern displays strong European old world influence. Constructed of wonderfully patinated wrought iron and oxidized tin, tall cylindrical shaped, framed with intricate scrollwork, openwork, and an abundance of fiolate decoration in the delicate form of serrated acanthus leaves. Retaining the six original bubble glass panels. The interior having a central candelabra like independently hung fixture adorned with six faux candle flame light bulbs. Originally made before the invention of electricity, this lantern has been converted from candle light to modern day electricity, accepting standard candelabra bulbs. Faux flaming bulbs included. It can be used a variety of ways, including as an indoor hanging pendant lamp, chandelier, outdoor patio or covered entry way, or placed as a table lamp on a large console table or sideboard.
