This one-of-a-kind organic modern ceramic table lamp is hand-built in high-fired stoneware in Detroit and produced as a unique work in 2024. Rooted in contemporary design and architectural restraint, the composition explores vertical structure and volumetric contrast through controlled illumination.
Form Study Table Lamp 4 introduces a more assertive interplay of mass and elevation within the series. The silhouette is defined by deliberate geometric shifts, creating tension between grounded ceramic density and ascending form. The structure feels architectural — resolved through proportion rather than ornament.
High-fired for permanence and surface depth, the glaze responds naturally to planes and edges, producing tonal variation unique to this work. In natural light, the piece reads as a sculptural study in balance and material presence.
A linen shade crowns the ceramic base, allowing light to radiate upward and outward while softly activating the form below. Illumination remains controlled and atmospheric, reinforcing the geometry without overpowering it.
