An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian English Britannia standard silver straight Trefid pattern flatware service for twelve persons; an addition to our canteen of cutlery collection The pieces of this exceptional, antique Victorian English Britannia* silver flatware service for twelve persons have been crafted in the Trefid pattern. The reverse surface of each silver spoon and fork handle terminal is embellished with a fine and impressive contemporary engraved crest depicting a bugle-horn stringed. Each Trefid spoon and ladle features a prominent and impressive, classic rat tail ornamentation to the reverse of the bowl. The original Britannia silver forks have three tines/prongs; these are highly desirable. This exceptional antique George V Britannia standard* silver mustard pot has a rounded octagonal panelled form to a pedestal spreading foot. The incurved panelled surface of this silver mustard pot is plain and unembellished, with an applied border to the upper rim. This fine Britannia silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked domed hinged cover surmounted with a tiered circular urn style thumbpiece. The pedestal foot of the mustard pot has a plain stepped form to a collet style rim. This impressive example of antique silverware is supplied with an associated hallmarked sterling silver spoon crafted by William Eley I & William Fearn in 1816. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Queen Anne English Britannia silver porringer, an addition to our 18th century silverware collection. This antique Queen Anne Britannia standard silver* porringer has a circular rounded form. The lower portion of this 18th century silver porringer bowl is embellished with chased alternating fluted decoration accented with engraved foliate motifs. The upper portion is encircled with a chased rope twist decorated girdle flanked with engraved foliate and scalloped motifs. The decoration to the anterior surface incorporates a cartouche bordered with scale motif diaper pattern and large scrolling designs, all surmounted with a figural cherub mask between a pair of wings. The cartouche displays a contemporary engraved coat of arms with scrolling leaf mantling and helm, all below a crest of an escallop. This silver porringer bowl is fitted with two cast S-scroll handles, featuring plain thumbpieces and scrolling terminals. The underside of the porringer bears the engraved initials 'RR'.
