This is a fine quality English Regency period Pillar or Pier Mirror, dating to the early 19th century, late Georgian period.
The mirror is well constructed with a jointed hardwood frame. This mirror has many fine features;
1) Ball decoration under the top frieze
2) Satinwood decorative inlay to top section
3) Reeded side frame and lower cross frame
4) Original glass
We date this mirror to the first quarter of the 19th century, George 111rd/1Vth period circa 1815. Antique mirrors of similar construction and detail are shown in the book: The Mirror Book by Herbert F Schiffer, Schiffer Publishing, 1983, Pages 210 to 220.
Additionally this mirror is not too large and would not look out of place in virtually any room.
Overall, a fine quality English Georgian Regency early 19th Century antique mirror...
