Jack Cartwright is a graduate of the Kendall School of Design, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is a recipient of many design awards in the US and Europe.
With the desire to design contemporary seating, Jack Cartwright started his company in May, 1963. He and a production specialist were the only employees. This desire to design valid seating products was the driving force behind the company. Mr. Cartwright's philosophy was "to provide the market with upholstered furniture of modern design, produced with exceptionally high quality standards and priced within the reach of many." That philosophy continues today.
The performance of the company exceeded the industry growth, indicating acceptance by the design community, distributors/dealers, and consumers. From two employees to over two hundred today, three facilities in North Carolina produce a variety of contemporary seating.
The headquarters and main facility are located in High Point, NC on 80 acres of old tobacco farmland in an environment conducive to creativity, design, and production. The company continues to design and market seating for use throughout the world. Cartwright is recognized as a leader in the industry. Cartwright designs, engineers, and manufactures an extensive line of contemporary upholstered seating for the contract market. In addition to seating, the company markets a large textile program. The in-house design department is directed by Jack Cartwright.
Developed over many years, Cartwright has a vertical production process -- frame plant...
