About the Item

a fine Gothic-style oak chest bench. Lovely unusual model. The story about this bench is this is a chest dating from the late 16th century, transformed into a bench during the 19th century. A very beautiful piece with unusual dimensions. The bench is decorated on its front and both sides with period Gothic panels called serviettes. Beautiful ironwork and a wrought-iron entrance add a lot of character. In superb condition with a lovely patina.
