This monumental hand-carved root chair is sculpted from massive sections of natural wood, celebrating the raw beauty, movement, and irregularity of the material. The chair’s expressive form is constructed from thick, undulating slabs and intertwined root structures, each piece shaped by nature and selectively carved to highlight grain, knots, and age lines. The sculptural back rises in sweeping, intertwined root forms, creating a dramatic silhouette with the presence of a functional artwork. The base incorporates naturally weathered timbers and rustic joinery, further emphasizing the chair’s organic origin and artisan construction.
