A beautifully decorated and handmade “Shepherds Crooks” armchair from England, mid 19th century. The Cartouche-shaped back veneered in figured burr walnut, the silk needlework upholstery (from a later period) in a flower design and silk on the armrest give this chair a very rich look. The firm chair is in good condition, only the upholstery from the seat has on the side a few cracks.
