This is a very well drawn wing chair, having a deep buttoned leather upholstered back and domed top, flanked by out-swept winged sides, sitting over outward scrolling armrests with an individual brass nailed studwork finish, terminating on an elegant tightly scrolled column. The seat having a feather cushioned squab offering a luxurious comfort when seated, supported by finely carved solid walnut cabriole front legs with acanthus leaf decoration to the knee terminating in ball-and-claw feet, centred by a rare seen inlaid scalloped shell.
