Buffet / enfilade designed by Jean Royere, the leading designer of Maison Gouffé in Paris, from the Art Deco period in France made of beech wood that has been finished with a gold leaf lacquer. There are two doors that open to interior shelving and four dovetailed drawers down the center. We love the Art Deco curves of this stylized piece. "This buffet was designed by Jean Royere as he was the leading designer of Maison Gouffé in Paris, the reowned Faubourg Saint-Antoine Paris furniture manufacturer. In the iconic workshop where Jean Royere trained and eventually executed many of his designs. From there, his fame quickly grew, and he went on to found his own company in 1944, designing custom furniture for high-end clients. Throughout his life, Royère traveled extensively, notably opening offices in Cairo, Beirut, Teheran, and Sao Paulo. Some of his most enthusiastic patrons included King Farouk, King Hussein of Jordan, and the Shah of Iran.
