French designers Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet were committed to a design ethos based on accessible materials as a mean to represent the realities of modern life. In reaction to the Paris Exposition des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels of 1925, which they deemed to only cater to a wealthy elite they set to ground their designs in something more homespun, even rustic. Their designs for Vibo Vesoul, produced using seagrass rope cord which became their leitmotiv are now highly sought after.
