Joseph Csaky (1888-1971) was a leading Hungarian sculptor of the Cubist avant-garde. This sculpture dating from the artist’s maturity reflects his return to a figurative and realistic style.
In Greek mythology, Polymnie is the muse of rhetoric. Csaky created 9 plasters of antique muses in 1965.
