This is a highly translucent hand-carved new jadeite jade ring. It's a masterpiece of subtle and lapidary skill. The green face has been carved with a chamfered edge that gives this centuries-old style of ring a decidedly modern aesthetic. The ring displays extraordinary translucency. If it was entirely colorless and this translucency was the ring's primary feature, it would be a stunning and worthy jewel. But it is not colorless.
