Rare Modernist ring by by one of Sweden's most important 20th century silversmith and master jeweler, Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe (Dec. 4, 1927 - Jun. 3, 2004). The sterling silver ring, circa 1970, is designed by Vivianna for Georg Jensen. It features a large 3 dimensional silver oval .75" wide and 1" long that appears to float over the wearer's finger. The oval is attached to drop shape ring that widens at the bottom of the lightly concave band. The interior has the oval George Jensen stamp, 925 S (sterling silver), and Denmark on one side. On the other side of the interior of the ring is stamped Torun and 155 for the Jensen ring model number. Torun began in 1969 to design exclusively for Georg Jensen and is the creator for some of the company's most famous designs. She was awarded the Prince Eugen medal by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Eden for outstanding artistic achievement. The ring measures a US size 6 / 6.25 and 51.9 European. A modernist ring designed by Anna Greta Eker. This is a sterling silver ring made by well-known and talented Scandinavian designer Anna Greta Eker back in the 1970. It features a five balls crown design that makes this piece unique and whimsical. Crafted in a single piece of solid sterling silver .925/.999 with high polished finish. Weight: 9.6 Grams, (6.15 Dwt). Size: 7.5 Sizeable. Measurements: 17 mm by 21 mm (0.67 x 0.83 Inches) and raise 6 mm over the finger. Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the silver assay mark and signed, "AGE STERLING 925S NORWAY". Anna Greta Eker (1928 – ????) was originally from Mariehamn, Finland but she moved to Norway in the 1950. There she married Erling Christofferson who led the silver workshop at PLUS in Fredrikstad, Norway. PLUS was an artist colony of designers and craftsmen whose goals included collaborating with industrial manufacturers produced silver, baskets, furniture and pottery. Their creations remain renowned for quality and design. Eker, who was trained as an industrial designer, became one of the leading silversmiths at PLUS and, along with other designers like Tone Vigeland, brought a distinct touch to the production of modern Scandinavian jewelry. Most of Eker's jewelry was hand hammered and often mounted with natural, uncut polished stones. Her pieces feature 60s style geometric and organic forms and sometimes incorporate semi-precious stones such as agate, hand blown glass and wooden pearls. When jewelry production at PLUS ended in the late 70s. Eker then started her own workshop using her artist anacronic name 'AGE' as her hallmark.
