A charming Venetian scene with gondola oil on canvas painting by the French artist, Johanne Schiefer. This painting is a wonderful example of his work from the prime of his career. Here you see figures walking with gondolas and an abundance of color and life. He traveled to paint across Europe, primarily France and Italy and also Latin America. Like Picasso, Schiefer never permitted himself to be “type-cast” in a single monotonous style.
