Iconic Mads Caprani no. 840 floor lamp by Mads Caprani floor lamp with the very rare limited edition floral printed pleated lamp shade, and a foot switch for turning it on. This 70s-era Danish creation mixes a curved teak bentwood spine with a cast-iron base and a pleated fluted shade.
The original floral printed pleated shade is in very good vintage condition, with no rips or tears, and is like new. This lamp was very lightly used. Works beautifully. Cast iron, crescent base is stamped with the Caprani name.
Rare and original shade is in great vintage condition if you want a neutral replacement shade they are available online.
This beautiful lamp is ready to use with a standard E26/E27 light bulb, max 60W.

Mads Caprani (1942-2014) was a Danish lighting designer. In 1979, he took over his father's company and renamed it Caprani Light, devoting himself entirely to the design of lamps. He initially focused on wood, but eventually expanded his practice to explore other natural materials, such as metal and stone. Caprani's creative journey led him to produce pleated lampshades, which were highly unusual for the time and quickly became a very popular among his clients.
