Altadena Eclectic Spanish

This charming home, situated on an idyllic street near Eaton Canyon, was in need of some key updates. The kitchen was disjointed, dimly lit, and lacked functionality and flow. The clients' desire to infuse mid century elements in a traditionally Spanish home created quite a unique brief. Our approach was to keep the palette rich and neutral, with tones that play to the Spanish nature of the home, and to streamline the structure and application. By removing a superfluous breakfast nook and opening the kitchen to the dining room, we were also able to design an uber-functional and bright hub. What emerged from this project was a wonderfully warm and inspiring space, perfectly suited for an active family partial to elaborate culinary endeavors, family gatherings, and regular entertaining.
