Cobble Hill Townhouse

The Cobble Hill Townhouse is a large 1850's townhouse in the Cobble Hill Historic District. The project involved a gut renovation of the original structure, a sizable three-story addition to the rear of the building, restoration of the front façade. and complete interior design services including the integration of the client’s art collection. The double-height kitchen is located at the garden level of the house within the volume of the new addition. A 20-foot-high steel window wall connects the interior directly to the garden. Adjacent and open to the kitchen is a sunken seating area with a custom built-in sofa. The sculptural plaster stair creates an impactful visual connection between spaces.
