Family Home by Kristen Ekeland Interiors in Austin, TX
Transforming the rustic bones of this Austin, Texas project into a calming, California-inspired space was a feat that required an extensive rework of materials and textures. While much of the original layout was maintained, Ekeland's team sought to replace the existing dark wood and heavy beams with lighter walls, natural fibers and warm metals. The results offered a bright home with a curvaceous flow and calming aesthetic.
