Originally built in 2003, the house includes a private golf course and swimming pool. The main house of the renovated country home features 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 1 powder room, a mudroom, kitchen, breakfast room, formal living room, family room, two offices, and a basement which houses a gym, full basketball court, golf simulation training facility, and a wine cellar.

The project, a combination of complete gut out renovation and remodelling, includes a restructured floor plan to maximize the flow of the home, brand new bathrooms with upgraded fixtures and furnishings, an integrated home system including lighting, motorized shades and a/v, and new lighting, furniture, accessories and finishes throughout the home. By upgrading and/or replacing the features of the original house, the home became a modern, contemporary dwelling that preserves the country feel of its surroundings.

To unify the home, and create a calming effect throughout, a singular palette was implemented throughout all levels of the house. The same dark wood floors, wood-panelled white walls and other finishes are a consistent theme throughout the home. An urban color palette, featuring dark colors, modernizes the home and makes it into a contemporary dwelling while pops of color and unique, custom- made furniture and furnishings give the home a country feel.

The home is contemporary yet country, grand yet simple, clean yet edgy. The perfect harmony for this country home just outside of the city.
