Family Home by Nate Berkus Associates in Glencoe, IL
Our clients purchased a spec house at the height of the pandemic, and it was our goal to transform it to be as stylish as they are without taking it down to the studs. We added textures, color and layers and it’s now shockingly unrecognizable as the spec house it once was. The hand-painted mural in the dining room is by James Mobley. The design was inspired by a Jean Cocteau mural in a 19th century French church and James’s recent trip to the Chicago Botanical Gardens.
