Gothic Victorian Estate
Country House by Sara Story Design in US
Niederhurst is a gothic Victorian house originally built in the 1870s by Winthrop S. Gilman, Jr. It was restored maintaining its original plaster medallions and detailing, but revitalized with hand-troweled Venetian plaster walls, oak millwork and wide plank oak floors allowing the natural light to brighten the interiors. Nero Marquina with Blue de Savoie and Calcutta marbles create the large scale gallery floor, one of the many rich combinations of materials that make this grand house livable and inviting.
