One57 Model Apartment

When designing the model apartment of One57, Jamie Drake was asked for something that would appeal to a broad array of prospective buyers, something gender neutral. They welcomed color but didn’t want to be overwhelmed by it. The design is, naturally, all about the views. The foyer introduces you to the tone of the apartment with all of the round shapes, giving off almost a celestial experience of planets and meteor showers. The cosmic theme is carried throughout the apartment, in the luminous wall treatments, metallic details, lacquered woods, and shiny fabrics such as silk, velvet and satin.
