Period Living Room

A transformation of a living room within a period home

- to give the space warmth, character and charm.

Our brief was to create an elegant room for entertaining guests from time to time whilst incorporating a backdrop from which to accent many of the Client's curated antiques and meaningful possessions from their travels.

We added all the seating and soft furnishings, we designed the window dressing to be centre stage and reflect the elegance of the Client's paintings, to distract slightly from the fireplace in the centre of the room.

We kept colours muted and calm on the walls to show case the beautiful antique furnishings and we designed and created some cabinetry to hide modern features such as a television and sound system.

The television can be lifted up through the cabinetry by way of a remote.

The rug was the Client's own.

The voile added privacy and light whilst also accenting the elegance in the space even further.
