Potomac

Family Home by Emily Summers Design in Dallas, TX

The radical renovation of this house, completed in 2005, honors the original design by keeping the footprint intact, but takes greater advantage of the heavily wooded site overlooking Turtle Creek seen from the floor to ceiling widows throughout the Living Room. In response to the spectacular setting, a palette of soft greens and creamy earth tones extends from the fabrics and carpets to the white oak floors. A vintage rug from Sweden, circa 1929, mimics the lines of the vintage Josef Hoffman chairs and French 40’s coffee table. The convex-mirrored Fontana Arte side table again reflects the trees from the outside in its tabletop.
