This apartment facing the Seine and the Eiffel tower is located is in a 1950’s building. We naturally decided to inspire ourselves from the French 1930’s design. This small jewelry box pied à Terre was completely demolished in order to create a two bedrooms and two baths. We covered the whole living space with bleached oak panels as a clin d’oeil to Jean Michel Frank and played with mirror in order to increase the sensation of space and focus on the reflection of the views. The kitchen being part of the living space we chose a dramatic sliver wave stone back splash that feels like an art piece in the room. The bedrooms are designed as two different hotel suites. The furniture is again inspired from the 30’s with a mix of contemporary pieces with a Jean Michel Frank Armchair from Ecart International or a pair of Pierre Chareau Sconces.
