Silver Lake

A renovation in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighborhood.

Prior to the remodel, the home was a confused mixture of different styles and eras. We wanted to create a cohesive design that felt appropriate for the original architecture but also felt current.

We added a 3rd bedroom, moved the kitchen, raised the ceilings and added skylights. In addition, we completely redesigned and renovated the bathrooms. Fresh white surfaces, inviting oak floors, unlacquered brass finishes, marble surfaces, and plenty of natural light completely transformed this space.

We juxtaposed this with a mix of iconic Mid-Century Modern pieces by Guillerme et Chambron and Pace Collection, contemporary pieces by Martin & Brockett, along with natural woods, antique rugs and earthy leather elements to ground the colors.
