Lead designer of New York-based 212box, Eric Clough believes in great design. There’s no better representation of this than his newly renovated SoHo artist loft. Furnished by the remaining bits and bobs from their luxury projects across the country, Eric and his wife Kate created a home that promotes waste reduction and upcycling.

The interior design industry is a massive contributor to waste and our climate crisis. Especially within this last year, where most of us live in our homes day in and day out, high-impact furnishings that last a year or two will soon be filling up our landfills (to the tune of about 9.7 million tons.)

What Eric and his family accomplished with their new home was creating an effortless and tirelessly chic apartment, with minimal environmental impact through upcycling, that takes inspiration from the pieces used of 212box’s roster of opulent projects.
