Union Square

Located in the Union Square neighborhood of New York City, this single family residence occupies the top two floors of the building. Providing the design for a complete renovation of the three bedroom, three bath penthouse, Proem Studio set out to create an updated, family-friendly living space for the clients, their two children and several pets. Taking advantage of the historic building’s impressive architecture, Proem integrated the original brick walls, factory floors and 20 ft ceilings into a warm, livable but still elegant home. By using a simple, earth-toned palette in the main living areas, the clients’ own artwork was able to be layered in effortlessly and the unobstructed views of the Empire State Building remained a focal point.
