Upper East Side

A grand apartment in an historic building that was gut-renovated and re-designed along with Douglas Wright Architects. The interiors of the apartment were modernized to reflect the client's taste and the furnishings were a mix of high-style new pieces and mid-century antiques. The clients have a large family and entertain often; they wanted a space that could be both formal and comfortable. The focus on textures in stone, wood, wall coverings, fabrics and rugs added warmth and character to the project.
