The original steel case doors are the defining characteristic of the apartment, so we wanted to accentuate them by using black accents throughout the home.
The apartment has a European feel -- with the high ceilings, moldings and large windows -- and we meticulously kept to that aesthetic. For example, the antique Heriz rug, which is an incredible piece and deserves full attention. We kept the other furnishings in the living room relatively neutral so as not to detract from the rug.
