Are Hitchcock chairs still made?
1 Answer

No, the Hitchcock Chair Company closed its doors in 2006. Hitchcock chairs were initially created by Lambert Hitchcock who decided he could mass produce chairs for people. By the 1820s the Hitchcock chair company was making 300 chairs a week, a remarkable number at a time when many pieces of furniture were being handmade one piece at a time.
