A book chain is a type of antique Victorian jewelry designed for lockets, cameos, chains, and necklaces. Each link in a book chain is a rectangular folded piece of metal that resembles a book and is made of solid gold or sterling silver. During the late Art Deco era of the 1930s and 1940s, book chain jewelry was popular during the Victorian jewelry resurgence (“Victorian Revival”).
