What is a field photograph?
1 Answer
A “field photograph” may refer to the concept of Depth of Field (DoF), which is controlled by the lens aperture diameter. A deep depth of field means that all near and far objects are in focus. With narrow depth, only a small part of the image is in focus, and with a shallow depth of field, the emphasis is on just the aspect of your photo that you want to highlight. This field is different depending on the properties of your lens, sensor and camera settings. Find a collection of antique and vintage photographs on 1stDibs today.
