What is it called when you pose for art?
What it is called when you pose for art varies. If you've paid to have an artist produce a portrait of you, the act of posing for them is sometimes referred to as sitting or sitting for a portrait. When someone poses so that artists can create sketches or practice in a classroom-type setting, the term used to describe it is usually art modeling.
