What materials did Michelangelo use?

Michelangelo used a variety of materials. For sculptures, he utilized marble, bronze, wood, terracotta and stone. His paintings tended to be frescoes, which he produced by applying layers of fresh plaster to the wall and then applying natural pigments so that the artwork would dry into the architecture.
