Where did Balenciaga live?

Cristóbal Balenciaga lived and worked in Spain and France. The revolutionary Spanish designer opened his first boutique in the former, in San Sebastián, in 1917. The opening of additional Balenciaga boutiques in Madrid and Barcelona followed before Cristóbal moved to Paris in 1937 (he lived and worked in the French capital for three decades).
