Who created the chair?
1 Answer
No one knows for sure who made the first chair. Early records have traced the chair's history back to Ancient Europe and suggest that early forms of seating were used as early as 5,800 years ago. These first chairs were usually wood-wrapped in fabric or leather. At just 10 inches high, their seat heights were much lower than those used today. Shop a wide variety of chairs on 1stDibs.
