Who is Dodie Thayer?

Dodie Thayer was a self-taught artist and potter. The Florida ceramicist is best known for her line of lettuce ware, which is handcrafted dinnerware, serverware and decorative objects that look like the leaves of lettuce and cabbage. Collectors and enthusiasts of Thayer’s work included Frank Sinatra, the Duchess of Windsor, Jacqueline Kennedy and others.
