Who makes Tiffany watch movements?

1 Answer
Who makes Tiffany watch movements?
Who makes Tiffany watch movements varies. Many of the movements in Tiffany & Co. timepieces come from the luxury maker's own atelier, which is located in Geneva, Switzerland. However, Tiffany & Co. has also sourced select movements from well-known manufacturers. For example, Dubois Dépraz crafted the movement in the CT60 Calendar Limited Edition, and Artime developed the Caliber AFT24T01 movement found in some Tiffany tourbillon watches. On 1stDibs, explore a selection of Tiffany & Co. watches.

1920's Tiffany & Co. Ladies Art Deco Watch - Platinum & Diamond
By Tiffany & Co.
Located in Suwanee, GA
NAMED ONE OF WATCHPRO MAGAZINE’S “HOT 100” - THE TOP 100 INFLUENCERS OF THE U.S. WATCH INDUSTRY. HOW CAN WE SERVE YOU? We’re new to offering our carefully curated collection on 1stDibs, but we have sold over 10,000 fine watches and exceptionally served thousands of customers with a 5.0 star rating. 1920's TIFFANY & CO. Ladies Art Deco Watch - Platinum & Diamond Fit for a Queen - All Original Tiffany - 56 Diamonds - Serviced & Warranted Like today, in the 1920's, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. One of their special offerings to their most discriminating female clients was a line of jeweled watches emblazoned with the Tiffany & Co. name on the dial. Although the maker's name was often hidden, the retailer contracted with a number of the world's fine watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces. The exclusive, lady's wristwatch featured in today's offering dramatically illustrates why Tiffany's vintage watches are sought-after by women of distinction, Hollywood actresses, and any woman desiring to wear a world-class timepiece. Originally crafted, assembled and decorated by the hands of elite watchmakers and jewelers, Tiffany & Co. spared no expense in creating this gem which was destined for the U.S. market. The centerpiece of the watch are its two large marquise diamonds that weigh nearly a carat together. Crafted from solid platinum and bejeweled with an amazing fifty high quality, original diamonds totaling approximately two carats, the beautiful original case made for Tiffany & Co. embodies the height of elegance and refined taste. They have fire and sparkle one would expect from original Tiffany diamonds. Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice. We have owned dozens of vintage ladies Tiffany diamond watches over the last two decades, and this is the most impressive one that has passed through these halls. In addition to the stunning case, the high-grade baguette movement employs some of finest Swiss technology from the era, insuring that the mechanism's timekeeping will meet the same high standard as the case design and construction. It was originally adjusted to five positions like very fine watches from Patek, AP, and the like. We were fortunate to acquire this exclusive lady's timepiece in such wonderful condition down to its gorgeously ornate clasp. The original, platinum and diamond case is better than near mint, indicative of a watch worn with respect for its rarity and value. The approximately 100 year old silver dial shows only light signs of aging. And at the right viewing angle, the wonderful original blue steel hands with an uncommon shape really show their color. The extra-fine, Merimont movement made for Tiffany & Co. is very clean and running strong. Two of our Master Watchmakers worked for the last six months to restore the movement of this special watch to breathe new life into it making it ready for immediate enjoyment. It included meticulously custom fabricating two copies of a the stem to the perfect quality of the original, installing a new correct mainspring that should power it well for many years, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $1995 value). We made a second stem for the buyer to keep with the watch in case it is ever needed. The final servicing was performed by our Master Watchmaker who worked for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center and also has done authorized work for the Richemont brands including Cartier, Vacheron & Constantin, and others. We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind treasure for that special someone in your life, this is it. Modern Tiffany watches don't come close to matching the charm and romance of this century old original. Please note: Several similar watches are published in John Loring's work Tiffany Timepieces, 2004, pp. 126-127. Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts. As mentioned, one used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center.
