Why is it called a cockfighting chair?
1 Answer
Cockfighting chairs were referred to as such because they were often included in drawings of cockfights. For a while they were thought to be designed for cockfighting, but they were truly designed as a reading chair. Shop a collection of vintage cockfighting chairs on 1stDibs.
