About the Item

The JUNONIA vase is a creation by the renowned Venetian glass master Afro Celotto. The dimensions of this artwork are 18.25" x 9" x 4.5". Every vase is hand signed at the bottom by the artist, who uses a diamond-point tool to symbolize uniqueness of each creation and artwork. Celotto’s Murano glass vases are highly sought after by collectors and decorators alike. His vases are known for their beauty, craftsmanship, and use of vibrant colors, which are a signature of Afro Celotto's style. These vases are considered works of art and are valued for their exceptional quality and timeless design. Afro Celotto (b. 1963 in Venice) started his working with glass when he was 14, apprenticing next to the great Lino Tagliapietra - one of the best glass masters in the world. After many years of practice, he finally became glass master himself, being offered to substitute Tagliapietra when he moved to the US to open his own studio. During the years, Celotto specialized in two of the oldest glass-blowing techniques: filigrana and murrina. Being the apprentice to Tagliapietra and devoting so many years to perfecting his abilities, Celotto became one of the most skillful glass masters for the filigrana technique. In the early 2000’s, Celotto opened his own studio as well, together with Luca Vidal and Carlo Tagliapietra. Since then, the master has devoted his time to create his own creations, aimed at giving life to his artistic expression and detailed visions.
