Damien Hirst Spin Painting (Damien Hirst shark spin painting)
Located in NEW YORK, NY
Damien Hirst Spin Painting 2009: A mesmerizing Damien Hirst Spin painting with explosions of vivid color amidst the timeless, mysterious form of a shark. This Damien Hirst Spin painting originates from Hirst’s ‘Spin Workshop’ - a public event hosted by the artist to celebrate the opening of his heralded 2009 exhibition: ‘Requiem’ at the PinchukArtCentre, Ukraine. Acrylic on paper. 2009. 19.25 x 26.5 inches. Excellent overall condition. Unique; one of. Features a stamped (printed) signature on the reverse and inscription: © Damien Hirst. A beautifully rendered Damien Hirst painting defined by strong colors, classic Hirst motifs & a unique overall presence. Artist Bio: Damien Hirst is a British Conceptual artist known for his controversial take on beauty and found-art objects. Along with Liam Gillick, Tracey Emin, and Sarah Lucas, Hirst was part of the Young British Artists movement that rose to prominence in the early 1990s. “I have always been aware that you have to get people listening before you can change their minds,” he reflected. “Any artist's big fear is being ignored, so if you get debate, that's great.” Born on June 7, 1965 in Bristol, United Kingdom, Hirst was raised in Leeds. As a student at Goldsmiths College in London, his work caught the eye of the collector and gallerist Charles Saatchi, who became an early patron. Hirst’s The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living (1991)—a large vitrine containing an Australian tiger shark suspended in formaldehyde—was financed by Saatchi and helped to launch the artist’s career. Hirst went on to win the coveted Turner Prize in 1995. In 2012, he showed what went on to be one of his most controversial work in decades, the installation In and Out of Love, which consisted of two white windowless rooms in which over 9,000 butterflies flitted around and died. In 2015 Hirst opened the Newport Street Gallery in London, which grew from his long-term ambition to share his art collection with the public. The artist lives and works in London, United Kingdom. His works are held in the collections of the Tate Gallery in London, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C., and the Rubell Family Collection in Miami. Illuminated Nest-Green Eggs, Original Painting
Located in San Francisco, CA

Artist Comments
A small, delicate nest cradles two blue eggs, its woven twigs and fibers forming intricate textures. Painted on an aluminum panel, the surface lends a subtle luminosity to the composition. The artwork celebrates nature's quiet beauty and the fragility of new life.

About the Artist
Artist Jennifer Ross finds inspiration in gathering and replicating fragments of nature. "Birds, nests, eggs, and horses represent my realization that life embodies a tension between wanting security and the love of freedom," says Jennifer. Through her art, she aspires to convey a healing power inspired by the living world. Jennifer initially aspired to follow her mother and grandfather's artistic path but took a detour and began a decade-long career working in art galleries, selling the artwork of others, and doing framing design. Eventually, her creative soul persisted. She began experimenting with small pastel...
