About the Item

In this painting the artist Pincas Moreno renders a scene of leisure at the beach, a man walking along in the sand with a dachshund dog. Pincas Moreno paintings are a saturation of space by the proliferation of characters, shapes, and colors. Signed by the artist on the lower right. PINCAS Moreno (Born in Bulgaria in 1936) These theatrical compositions with an abundance of well-rendered familiar figures and tortured lines, produce scenes that are near caricatures of the ordinary man. Born- 1936 in Bulgaria. Immigrated to Israel in 1949. studied at Avni Institute in Tel Aviv and at the Beaux Arts in Paris. won First Prize in the Biennale for Young Artists Moreno Pincas is considered a precocious artistic genius, he is unclassifiable artist, who ignores fashion. Thanks to its peculiar density, it raises the ordinary beyond everyday life, while calling upon us to go to the horizons where reality and imagination no more confront each other The central theme of Pincas works are circus scenes, images from the artist’s productive imagination, acrobats, animal tamers, horseback riders and flame-swallowers, imagery drawn from a colorful, rich and sometimes even bloody world. Pincas's paintings give an epic look at the realism which is influenced by the masters such as Pascin, Goya and Toulouse-Lautrec.
