Eau source

About the Item

“Eau Source” – A Sculpture of Balance and Reflection “Eau Source” is a sculpture where the raw strength of metal meets the delicate finesse of ceramics, embodying a majestic wolf bending towards the water in an instinctive, vital gesture. The artwork captures this suspended moment when the animal, deeply connected to its environment, reconnects with its primordial source. The wolf, with its silent yet powerful presence, represents far more than just a symbolic figure—it is a discreet guardian of natural balance. Through its movement, it seems to remind humankind that every living being plays a role in the delicate harmony of the world. Where the wolf is present, nature breathes, regains its rhythm, and finds its balance. The metallic surface of the water, shimmering and fluid, contrasts with the raw texture of the ceramic, giving the wolf a grounded and tangible presence. This dialogue between materials expresses both the fragility and resilience of nature, where every movement, every connection, carries a profound resonance. Through this piece, the wolf becomes an eternal messenger, an allegory of our forgotten bond with the earth and its cycles. With humility and strength, it invites us to relearn how to listen to nature, to understand that water, earth, and life are deeply interconnected. Its simple posture, bent towards the water, brings us back to the essentials: to drink, to anchor, to preserve. The wolf’s shadow on the water reflects more than just its image—it is the mirror of nature’s wisdom, if only we take the time to observe it. “Eau Source” celebrates this delicate balance, where the animal and its environment exist in perfect harmony—a harmony we must strive to protect. #SébastienChartier #ContemporaryArt #BronzeSculpture #FigurativeArt #WildlifeSculpture #WolfArt #CeramicAndMetal #NatureInArt #ArtCollector #FineArt #LimitedEdition #SculptureLovers #ArtInspiration #EnvironmentalArt #SymbolicArt #PublicArt #ModernSculpture #TimelessMessenger #ArtAndNature #HarmonyInArt #WildlifeConservation

The sculpture is signed and numbered. Edition 20/99. About the Artwork: The Chinese Zodiac can’t be ignored in the traditional culture of China. It’s closely interconnected with the social customs and habits, the aesthetic taste and the opinion of value. The Twelve animals of Year represent the traditional Chinese wisdom that the laws of Nature governs all things and that man must seek harmony with Nature. I created this Series of twelve zodiac animals made of gold and pottery, trying to give the “zodiac”-this long-standing cultural symbols a meaning of the prosperity and the luckiness. –He Wenjue About the artist: He Wenjue was born in 1970 in Hunan Province, China.
