Glorious, c. 1650, hand-carved, solid Carrara marble upper torso fragment of a Roman soldier. The piece featuring fish-scale armor atop a tunic. The right shoulder in a pleated sleeve with detailed trim. On the left, a lush cloak fastened with a floral clasp.
