The Maharajah is wearing the most extraordinary and famous piece in the Indore jewel collection. A necklace of two spectacular pear shaped Golconda diamonds of 46.95 carats and 46.70 carats each called the Indore Pears mounted by Chaumet.
The poster was created for a groundbreaking exhibit at the Costume Institute organized by Diana Vreeland in December 1985. Guests attending the opening wore Valentino, Armani, Givenchy, Gres and Saint Laurent, Scaasi, Bill Blass, Donna Karan, Adolfo, Carolina Herrera and Stavropoulos.
